Dr. Rianne Fijten is a biomedical scientist who has been researching exhaled breath analysis and omics since the start of her career. In 2017, she completed her PhD on the translational aspects of exhaled breath between clinical and in vitro studies. A particular emphasis was laid on investigating the biological origin of exhaled VOCs. At present, she works as a postdoctoral researcher in radiation oncology with a particular focus on bridging the gap between research and the clinic to ensure clinical implementation of prediction models.
